1. I believe in the Holy Inspired Scriptures (HIS) Only, "which are able to make [us] wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus" (2 Tim. 3:16). I believe that there is one and only one HIS which accurately tell me of Jesus Christ, the Living Word, who God sent to be the only Savior of the world (Acts 4:12).
2. I believe that the authenticity of the HIS is supported better than any other ancient manuscripts, with 5,500 known manuscript copies, and 20,000 copies of ancient versions.
3. I believe that in all ages God has kept his promise to preserve HIS (Psalm 12:6-7), as Jesus said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away; but my words shall not pass away" (Luke 21:33).
4. I believe that in spite of minor differences among manuscript copies, HIS has been preserved so well that not a single doctrine of the Christian faith is in dispute in any of the copies.
5. I believe that God has preserved HIS in translations into the thousands of languages spoken by humans.
6. I believe that HIS is preserved in all translations produced by Biblical scholars who are committed to translating copies of the Biblical texts accurately.
For instance, the following English versions of 1 Cor. 13:13, although having slightly differing wording, all say (mean) the same thing, each translation faithfully preserving God's original words and their meaning:
7. I believe that God miraculously inspired the original Biblical texts incarnationally (a joint God-man production) so that they are divinely infallible and authoritative, yet the individual writing styles of the various human authors were retained.
8. I believe that God's Word is preserved in translations based on any of the Biblical manuscripts text families. HIS truth is clear regardless of the textual base used by spiritually committed translators who believe that base to reflect the most reliable copies of the original Biblical texts.
9. I believe that God's promise to preserve HIS has kept it from being corrupted in any versions produced by Biblical scholars committed to translation accuracy. While there are minor differences among translations, none of them affect any major doctrine of the Christian faith. God's preservation has so affected the process of manuscript copying, transmission, and translation that he has kept humans from corrupting HIS, as long as those humans have been committed to faithfully translating HIS as accurately as is humanly possible in any language. I believe that the burden of proof is upon any who claim that any version is corrupt to demonstrate how it is corrupt, how it does not state accurately the words of HIS.
10. I believe in HIS Onlyism by faith, for "we walk by faith, not by sight" (2 Cor. 5:7), yet I also see much physical evidence to support my faith, for which I thank God.
11. I believe that "obedience is better than sacrifice" (1 Sam. 15:22) and that I am commanded to "be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves" (James 1:22), so I have committed myself to obeying HIS, the Written Word, and my great God and Savior Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13), the Living Word.
12. I believe that it is wrong for me to judge another Christian (Rom. 14:4) who does not believe exactly as I do on all of these points. And I joyfully share in fellowship with any Christian who believes and obeys any version of HIS.
